I wanted to write a blog about our 'Posy and Prosecco' workshops. Last night I ran a class with some lovely ladies. It was a glorious evening, with lots of flowers and lots of laughter.
The purpose of these workshops is to really celebrate flowers. I wanted to design a class that was relaxed, a great evening out and would be open to anyone who loves flowers.
Last night we worked with a wonderful colour palette, bringing together blush tones, with peach, dark purple and chocolate browns. I gave a demonstration on how to create a free flowing display. The idea is to follow the flower movement and create a feminine, natural bouquet. This is the look that I simple love. You are trying to achieve lots of layers in your flowers. It is as if you have gone into your garden and collected lots of different shades and textures.
The ladies last night had no previous floristry experience, but each one created such a beautiful display and they were very proud of their creations.
Our next Posy & Prosecco night will be on Wednesday 17th January. In this workshop we will be looking at hand tied bouquets and students will learn how to aqua pack their posies and gift wrap them. There is an offer running on this class, simply book your place and then a friend can come for half price! To book this workshop please visit our workshop page.
