With the summer approaching and dreams of alfresco dining, holidays and sunshine fill the air, I always get a little bit excited with the prospect of September. To me it is like a mini new year, the start of the new term for children and maybe time for you to start something new too.
So why not join us on our weeks Foundation course for Beginners. Discover a new hobby or take a step into becoming a floral designer.
What is the Foundation Course for Beginners?
A five day intensive floral design course covering all the fundamental designs in floristry.
Students are taught two practical displays everyday, with theory taught throughout the week.
Demonstrations are given each day.
Classes are kept small, for one to one teaching.
We only teach with sustainable methods of floristry.
We are located just outside Brighton and Hove, in the Sussex countryside on a flower farm.
What is included in the course?
All flowers and foliage.
Ceramic vessels.
Course notes.
Recipe lists.
Edited photographs of students’ final pieces & working.
Students are invited to become part of our community of florists and growers.
Work experience and freelance work can be arranged.
Refreshments-lots of cake!
Who is it for?
The Foundation is designed for anyone that loves flowers. If you have no experience, or some or would like to learn a different style of floristry this course is for you! If you want to enter the industry or expand or start a new hobby, the Foundation has you covered.
