An Introduction in Floristry Masterclass: Monday 12th May, 10.00am-3.00pm
This is a fantastic day course for anyone who wishes to have an insight into the world of floristry. Throughout the day you will be taught how to condition flowers, seasonal availability, eco friendly methods, colour and design. Students will be shown and will get to create two displays including a hand tied bouquet and a petite table urn display. Students will also learn how to style a table .
In the morning we will give a talk about the day and students will get to know each other. We will then demonstrate how to create a gift bouquet, this will include spiralling the stems. It will then be over to you to create your own. We will finish off the morning with gift wrapping our bouquets.
After lunch we will take a tour around Pitfield Cutting Garden and Emma Martin, the head gardener at Pitfields will give a talk about growing British flowers.
We will then demonstrate how to create a small urn display using a mechanic. Students will then create their own display. We will finish off the day with a tablescape and cake!

Who is the class for and do I need previous experience?
No! This course is for complete beginners. If you are passionate about flowers then come along!
