The Floristry business course at Flourish Sussex Flower School is an online training programme, with an option for an in person masterclass, which helps all students to feel confident about each section of building a business. The programme has been designed to guide, nurture and inspire all florists to build a floristry business that suits their lifestyle.

In October 2024 each student will be invited to do a one to one Zoom introduction business overall with Alicia. Prior to this session you will sent a questionnaire where we will be able to establish the route of your business and we can identify the core of your business. We will evaluate the stage you at the moment and targets will be set. It doesn’t matter if you are an established florist or if you are at the very beginning of your career.

Each week from the 1st October you will be sent two pre recorded business modules covering the following aspects : Core of your business | Finding your Clients | Branding | Photography | Website building, using the Squarespace platform | Pricing-proposal writing, and pricing formula | Recipes | Running a Wedding | Sympathy Flowers | Instagram | Facebook, | TikTok | YouTube | Pinterest | Blogging | Canva | Workflow | Collaborations | Starting a Cutting Garden | How to tackle obstacles | Mindset.

Each module will represent a piece of the puzzle and once the seven week programme is complete, all pieces will be in place for you to feel confident and ready to build a profitable and sustainable floristry business. Each module will be run either by Alicia or by an industry expert.

The modules will be sent each Tuesday for seven weeks.

Each Monday there will be an opportunity to join Alicia via Zoom to cover any questions on our Mentor Monday sessions.

Then there will be opportunity for students to meet at Flourish Sussex Flower School and spend the day going through the modules, meeting fellow florists, working through exercises in pairs, asking any questions and building confidence. Lunch will also be served as part of the course. While on the masterclass you can enjoy a tour of the cutting garden with a talk by head gardener Emma Martin, who can answer all your gardening questions. The date of this event will be Monday 25th November 2024.

Once the course is complete you will be booked in for a power hour with Alicia via Zoom to work out your eighteen month strategy.

You can either choose to pay for just the modules or for the modules and the masterclass day.
